We did running at School and started off at the front of the school where the trees are and around the hill and the huge gynormous field by Miss Potter's classroom and right round the whole length of the field twice. Out of 65 girls I came 12th. I felt sick at the end of the race.
We went to the Imperial War Museum to learn about the 2nd world war. We also had to dress as evacuees.

Dear Issy,
I am still waiting to see the photo of "the beret" you wore as an evacuee - was it a fashion statement?
It was lovely to see you (and everyone else) today. Now the house is so quiet I can hear a mouse`s whiskers twitching.
Soon be Disneyland!!!! Make sure Daddy gets lots of sleep this week and plenty of food to get him ready for "a whole week of FUN!!"
Love Grandi xxxxxxxxxx
Daddy slept soundly tonight, very pleased that he got Auntie Abis computer working. I am looking forward to 'my heart swelling with pride' as promised when I visit Mr Froud on Thursday, but first I have Alexander's tomorrow with Mrs Locke. You are off tobogganing with the Brownies tomorrow and having tea at McDonalds, good job your mummy isn't coming as I would be dragging you back to make you go slower! Seems we brought half a forest back from Little Brickhill I am just hoovering up bits of fir tree and sweetie papers.
Have a great time. Grandi and Grandad are off to Brighton, they didn't mess around it's only 11.00am. We are seeing Cathy tonight and Issy is having a swimming lesson.
love Mummy
